2011 Moto Guzzi Nevada Anniversario (Anniversary Edition)

2011 Moto Guzzi Nevada Anniversario (Anniversary Edition)

The Moto Guzzi Nevada is twenty years old! Celebrating this milestone is the "Anniversario", a new sports custom joining the highly popular and widely acclaimed Classic.

The history of Moto Guzzi is made up of the intertwined individual stories of many different man and motorcycles, and one of the most successful chapters in this history has been written by the Nevada.

A bike which, year after year, continues to assert itself as a worthy alternative to the American custom, with its retrained style, a bold mechanical personality and impeccable handling, in keeping with the finest Moto Guzzi traditions.

The eclectic and reliable Nevada Classic boasts the enviable distinction of being the bike that single-handedly inspired thousands to either take up or return to motorcycling, converting them into die-hard fans of the Eagle brand. This remarkable feat is thanks to its ability to reconcile performance and costs within the reach of a broad cross-section of the market, with the image and technology of a more expensive bike.

This perfect balance of image and content has been taken a step further in the new Moto Guzzi Nevada Anniversario. Created to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the mid-sized custom from Mandello, the Anniversario joins range alongside the timeless Classic to offer the choice of a bike with more eye-catching, contemporary looks. Conceived to express a sportier, more dynamic concept of style, the latest addition to the Guzzi family is more muscular and more of rebel than the Classic. The new two-up saddle seems perched on top of the fat rear tyre, with the wheel-hugging two-tone rear mudguard sprouting out from behind, while the mudguard itself sports an all new chrome plated taillight.

Completing the revised looks of the tail is a set of brand new chrome plated grab handles - yet another styling touch distinguishing the bike from the original Classic.

The design of the centre section of the Anniversario showcases the beating heart of the bike - the legendary small block transverse 90° V-twin. To further show off this sculpture in metal, the side fairings have been redesigned to complement the forms of the 14 litre tank. The tank itself seems suspended over the V of the two opposed cylinders in a visual effect created by the two-tone colour scheme, with black dominating the lower part of the bike from the sump upwards, and white the predominant colour of the upper area consisting of the top of the tank and the mudguards, with a delicate orange pinstripe separating the two areas. The result is a bike with distinctly sporty looks that further emphasised by the low bar handlebars which, in keeping with the spirit of the bike, are lower and narrower than the bars on the Classic.

Technically, the Nevada Anniversario retains the same chassis architecture and offers the same performance as the Classic. The frame uses an utterly dependable double cradle layout, with bolt-on, removable lower elements. Defining the perfect steering geometry was a priority, and the result is a headstock rake angle (27°50') specifically tailored for stability and directional precision. Comfort is guaranteed by quality suspension components. At the front is a Marzocchi fork with 40 mm stanchions and 130 mm wheel travel, while at the rear is a swingarm linked to two shock absorbers featuring adjustable spring preload and offering 118 mm of wheel travel. The brake system consists of a 320 mm floating front disc and a 260 mm rear disc. Other standout features are the wire wheels, measuring 18 inches at the front and 16 at the rear to cater for high profile tyres, for outstanding agility and superlative feel.

The small block twin cylinder engine is the latest evolution of an engine originally created in 1977 that has since earned legendary status for its reliability and economy. With a bore and stroke of 80 and 74 mm respectively, the 744 cc unit features aluminium alloy cylinders and pistons with a special wear-resistant graphite coating. Fed by a Weber Marelli electronic fuel injection system and breathing though 36 mm diameter throttle bodies, the engine combines remarkably low emissions with a feisty temperament in keeping with the spirit of the Nevada, with an impressive maximum torque of 54.7 Nm at just 3600 rpm.

Once in the saddle of the Nevada Anniversario, you immediately feel that you're riding a light, compact and nimble bike, with an instant sensation of control. This impression is further emphasised by the new saddle and handlebar configuration, resulting in a bike that is not just great looking, but fantastic to ride, too.

Only one colour scheme is offered, although the bike may be personalised to suit your own individual tastes and needs by choosing from the comprehensive Moto Guzzi accessory catalogue.

2011 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer

Moto Guzzi’s new V7 Racer is a class act. It’s a special, but full-production, version of the Italian firm’s V7 Classis and comes with an unbelievable raft of goodies, including a chrome-effect fuel tank, a hand-finished frame and uprated cycle parts. This modern-day retro isn’t on a par with a Triumph Thruxton or Ducati Sport Classic performance-wise, but it’s easy to ride, looks fantastic and makes you feel even better.
 Engine
The V7 Racers’s 49bhp air-cooled, 744cc, 2v, four-stroke 90° V-twin engine, five-speed gearbox gearbox and shaft drive are all old-generation Moto Guzzi. The drivetrain might not have the power and refinement of their current evolution motorcycles, but its relaxed, throaty character suits this bike perfectly. The fuel-injected motor is smooth and friendly and offers enough oomph for swift progress cross-country.

Ride and Handling
If you try and grab the V7 Racer by the lapels and ride it hard, it doesn’t like it. You’ll run out of brakes pretty quickly and the gyrating motion of the shaft drive will get the chassis wobbling through the corners. The idea is to cruise along and take in the scenery, admiring yourself in shop windows and getting lost in the romance of riding such a typically Italian machine. It’s very comfy, smooth and low enough for shorter riders to be confident.

 Equipment
Imagine all the mods you’d want to make to the standard V7 Classic and the V7 Racer already has them. The highlight is the shiny 17-litre fuel tank, which is actually plastic with a special chrome effect process, which looks like the real thing. It has a hand-finished metallic blood-red frame, swingarm, tank badge and wheel hubs, which carry silver spoked and satin black rims. You also get a suede-topped seat, a leather tank strap, big chrome mirrors, chrome top yoke guard, bikini fairing, clocks featuring 70s-style logos and graphics, a numbered plaque on the top yoke, number seven racing numbers, milled ali rearsets, stubby sports mudguard, brushed ali throttle body covers, fork gators and a rear light, fuel cap, rocker cover and engine heat shield all finished in chrome.

Quality and reliability
Although the V7 Racer is old school, it benefits from the all the modern manufacturing methods that the Piaggio Group (which includes Moto Guzzi and Aprilia) have developed over the years. It’s fuel-injected and conforms to Euro 3 and built to a very high standard.
You’ve only got to look at the list of standard equipment to know the V7 Racer is astounding value at £7599. If it knocked on the door of ten grand you wouldn’t bat an eye lid.

2011 Moto Guzzi V7

2011 Moto Guzzi V7
A TRIBUTE TO A LEGEND.
In 1967, the motorcycle market reeled in shock at the appearance of the first Italian maxi motorcycle: Created by the legendary Giulio Cesare Carcano, the Moto Guzzi V7 marked the debut of the transverse V90 twin-cylinder 703 cc engine that set a record at that time. The V7 was enthusiastically acclaimed by the press and public. This success helped the worldwide promotion of Moto Guzzi's image as manufacturers of an exclusive, elegant, comfortable and above all, highly reliable motorcycle.

For many people, owning a V7 was one of the most important things in their lives. It left them with unforgettable memories that reminded them of their younger days, of friends and of journeys made together and made that time perhaps one of the highest points in Moto Guzzi's history. After a further forty years of success and as part of Moto Guzzi's worldwide relaunch project, the flame of creativity shines brightly once more in the new V7 Classic. The V7 has character to spare and is a superb interpretation of the fundamental beauty of the original V7 but this time incorporating all the latest technology that was unavailable to its predecessor.

The new machine is fully up-to-date with its equipment levels, frame engineering and 750cc Euro 3 engine. The V7 Classic brings earlier days to mind with the line of the tank that nestles comfortably on the tubular frame and runs back to meet the saddle. This in turn is perfectly flat and blends in gracefully with the rear mudguard. The side panels house the same stowage compartments that so stylishly set off the side view of the original machine.

2011 Moto Guzzi Stelvio NTX Enduro Motorcycle

Named after the famous Alpine pass that connects Valtelline Valley to Vinschgau Valley with 84 amazing s-bends between them, Stelvio has launched Moto Guzzi back among the stars of the maxi enduro world. A highly appreciated bike that has now reached a coming of age at a technical-functional level, thanks to the updates and final tweaking undergone by the MY2011.
It all starts with its style, now even more attractive and trendy rounding off the fuel tank by integrating it within the lightweight fairing, which now highlights a clearly smooth streamlined effect which flows into the double front headlight assembly.
The latter feature is a distinctive element of the Stelvio design, and the only detail inherited from the previous version.
The top fairing, windshield and the half-fairing with integrated turn indicators are all brand new elements that combine to give the front-end of the Stelvio MY2011 a cutting-edge, more aggressive and dynamic look.
It has an original design, but it is above all more functional and versatile, features that are of uppermost importance on models of this type.
From an objective standpoint, the style of the new surfaces emphasises two fundamental project milestones compared to the previous version: more efficient aerodynamic protection, thanks to the new top fairing and practically twice fold range capacity thanks to the outstanding new fuel tank with a 32 litre record capacity. This new Stelvio bike has an air of complete renovation about it, fine examples being the cockpit with brand new graphs on the on-board control panel, a new increased scale fuel indicator.
The heart that beats inside this touring bike is the renowned V-shaped 90° transverse twin-cylinder “Four valve” engine, the highest performer among all the families of engines manufactured at Mandello del Lario, which has now reached exclusive levels as far as its technical/performance development is concerned.

This latest version can boast the careful attention paid to achieve a more silent and smooth running of the engine, whilst tweaking the electronic control, timing system and cooling system. The brand new integrated ignition and injection ECU now exploits the signals sent by the two lambda probes to guarantee adequate feeding throughout the entire combustion cycle, improving response to thethrottle control, mid range power delivery further to consumptions and emissions.
The engine now boasts a maximum torque of over 113 Nm delivered at a mere 5,800 rpm and easily reaches a peak in output of over 105 Hp; it practically reaches an automobile-level speed of 7,250 rpm.
Due to the unanimous success of Stelvio’s chassis, no changes of any kind have been made to the upper dual beam frame, in high tensile steel that is connected to the engine in six different points giving an exceptionally high levels of torsional rigidity. The chassis geometry therefore remains unaltered, with a rake of 27°, a 125 mm trail, improved by the all important 1535mm wheelbase which guarantees impeccable steering precision, and is something that has contributed to boosting the reputation of this model over time. High quality suspension whose adjustable preload and hydraulic response during compression and rebound combine to ensure instant, smooth response to pressure on the handlebar.
The front-end is controlled by a solid 45 mm upside-down Marzocchi fork with 170 mm travel, whereas the rear-end has progressive action suspension kinematic mechanism moved by a Sachs rear monoshock which runs on a 155 mm stroke.

The Brembo braking system remains in place, unbeatable in terms of efficacy and look, along with the front radial-mounted callipers that engage with a new couple of discs, with lighter flanges and a new brake band that better dissipates heat.
Innovation also for the wheels which now boast a cutting-edge designed set of light alloy rims and the standardisation of the rear sizes 150/70/17, previously exclusively mounted on the NTX, also on the standard version of the Stelvio 1200.
On request, the wheels can also be assembled with Ber rims and Alpina spokes, which are standard fixtures on the NTX version whilst both models are fitted with the new Continental ABS anti-lock system.
The NTX is the more “adventurous” version of the Stelvio, and now has all the technical features of the base version, plus some exceptional new fixtures, i.e. the sturdy “armour” that embraces it and comprises the oil sump guard, engine guard, cylinder guard and full cover hand-guards to protect the rider and his bike against the hidden dangers throughout his trip.
A bike dedicated to long haul travellers naturally needs luggage space, hence the spacious aluminium panniers and additional halogen lights. Even more luxury options are available on the accessory catalogue including a GPS navigator, heated hand-grips, and CA.RC protection(Cardano Reattivo Compatto, i.e. Compact Reactive Cardan Shaft Drive).
The new Stelvio MY 2011 will be on sale from next Spring boasting Guzzi Black and Diamond White colour schemes, while the NTX will flaunt a brand new colour concept on a black Lava satin finish base.
